    jumping menu in IE

    Hi all,
    I really need your help.
Me and a friend are working on a website. Now that we are nearly finished, we've got a weird problem on IE.
On the first visit (on my browser it only happens when you visit the home page and then clicking the "english day"
menubutton. you also need to clear the cash afterwards and restart the computer to see it again..) the left menubar jumps
into the content-section instead of its position in the left column next to the
    content.
We tried to fix it, amongst others with different doctypes, but nothing helped.
Another funny thing is, that I just get this problem with my IE on windows xp with no service pack. on my other
windows xp with sp1 it doesn't occur.

you can watch a screenshot here
and see it by yourself here
    (click "english day").

i hope anyone could help us!
    thanks alot

    jule

    Cannot reproduce it here.

    a first shot:
    - let #threecolumns gain "layout", for testing purposes (zoom:1)
    does this change anything?

Looks like as if the neg margin in #left is not applied. So you'll have to narrow it down step by step.

    - make sure all images have a width and height
    - delete preceeding hidden content
    - delete all html comments
    - delete the preceeding elements of #left in code

    Does this change anything?
    - Any float without a dimension?
    - Any position:relative without a dimension?
