Is there a way to turn that off so it DOESN'T ask me? I never want them, ever! It's just annoying to recieve them, and even more annoying to be asked for every PM you send.

As a user, there's nothing you can do unfortunately. It would have to be changed for everyone![]()
I hate those damn read recipts.

I'm willing to bet if SPF turned them off they would make more people happy then upset.

I find uses for the receipts but it's not effective if the recipient cancels the receipt. Therefore, the receipt is a redundant feature with the current version of vB.

The 'cancel' button is kind of ambigious alsoThere is a hack available to 'fix' the read reciept thing though, just need it installled.

I have gotten read receipts but not always because the receiver chose not to send one, I guess. I agree with KC that the system is redundant. Should be disabled IMO.
Why didn't they just make it a checkbox option on the PM form rather than an annoying confirm() box?Originally Posted by platinum
