    W2K Issues

Every time I shut down my computer, it takes almost 5 minutes before I get the little grey box over my desktop that says, saving settings, and all the other stuff. I just look at my desktop for about 5 minutes, I don't know what it is doing (shutting down applications?) It will let me open and browse files in My Computer, but it won't let me execute anything. This happens every time I go to reboot/restart no matter how long the computer has been running for.

Similar question, sometimes when I open Outlook, and then check my mail ect... I close it, but I can look in the appications list, and OUTLOOK.EXE is still there, so after I open the program a cople times, and close it, I get mutiple occurances of OUTLOOK.EXE within my appications list (ctrl+alt+del) After a while, it won't let me open Outlook any more, I have to go to the task manager, and end all the occurances of OUTLOOK.EXE, I am using Office SB 2000 (Outlook 2000) What's the deal?

Cable (he he, just got it and I love it)
Can't think of anything else that could matter.

    HI,

I often find if I have changed network configurations it somtimes does take a while to shut down.

What service pack have you got installed on your system?

As for outlook, yes the same thing happens to me, it's really just a bug and I have not found any fixes for this.

I always had problems shutting Win2K down until I fixed the Power Management in the Bios. I think its called APCI.

It used to hang or restart the computer but never shutdown properly.

Don't know if it will fix your problem but its worth a look.

I have Service Pack 1+2 and all other updates I could find on windowsupdate.com. What do you mean with the network configurations?
