    CSS help.

I have this site that uses a php include for the header. What I want to do is have one CSS be read and displayed by the header, and another displayed in the main table body of the page.

    Is this possible?

Or am I just wasting my time?

You might be able to do this using <span> or something.

What do you mean by 'have one CSS be read and displayed' ...?

CSS is the name! Cascading Style Sheets.

Are you thinking of using one CSS file for the header, and another for the body?

Any CSS file called will be used by the resulting HTML document. You can include both CSS files but you will have to ensure that there are no "clashing" classes in the two CSS files.

But I want the CSS to be different.

    View this page.
    http://www.dndcommunitycouncil.org/newindex.php3

    Thats the page.

My goal is to put the text links that you will see above the blue bar inside the bar and make them white with a:hover, and all those fun things. Then I want to use the CSS that you'll see for just the main table of the page.

    Had anybody tried doing this?

    Spans don't work.

Really CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets? Thanks lynlimz...

    Just use this:

    Code:
    A.header:hover { }
    Then code a link like:

    Code:
    <a href="/file.php" class="header">La La La</a>
And it will use the style defined in the A.header:hover tag.

Ohh...DND 3rd Ed. Back during the 2nd Ed. days I used to play twice a week. Those were good times.

Anyway, what JMulder said is right. Use different classes for the links in the header and in the body. Maybe a tutorial would help in understanding how this works. Try here:
