PHP table data transfer

Hi all, Please help.
I am creating a website where a user can enter data into tables. Then I want them to be able to click on a button and the data in the table will transfer to another table. Any ideas for the code to use. I am using PHP and a SQL server. Please help!!!

You will have to explain a little more about what it is you want to do!

Are the tables where the data is entered HTML on a web page or do you mean diectly into an sql table.

Can you elaborate slightly please!
