would advice you buy a book, works better.

i used wrox publication. But do an amazon search.

also i would advice if you can, move to .net, its the future, asp is good and will be supported in the future, but is basic scripting.

Agreed with afrika (on both points, but I think .net can be quite difficult to begin with, but asp/VBScript seems very easy). I've just started learning asp with "Beginning Active Server Pages 3.0" from wrox and it's great. I think I came across a thread here where there are some other books / means of learning mentioned just lately. Do a search and you probably find many ideas.

Its true that .net could be difficult, esp if you are coming from a novice point of view.
.net is a totally new concept that is built on the .net framework, ASP is basic scripting which is simply ; Scripting is an interface to objects on your server

ASP is very easy, the wrox publication is very good, and the intro (About client server and distributed computing) in the first chapters esp version 2.0 Programming with ASP too is excellent. wrox ASP 3.0 is also out

I woudl advice you buy a book and get the overall picture, rather than reading from the web, although w3schools.com is an excellent resoure. It would help understand the overall picture.

    - Why scritping ?
    - What are scripts ?
    - Objects and OOP (Object oriented programming)
    - Client/server
    - What are servers (and their various implementations)
    - Draw backs
    - Databases
    - Building dynamic pages, and personalized contents
    ....etc, etc, etc

hope u get the picture ? >>This is most important
