Windows 98 Not coming with Microsoft FP Express?

I am trying to get a small site up for a friend of mine and trying to teach him with any program. He has Windows 98 and I do too. Now, I was under the belief that Win 98 came with Microsoft Frontpage 97 Express? Am I wrong?

I have it on mine, he doesn't.

Anything that can be done here?

    Thank you.

I believe seanf is right. FrontPage Express Didn't come after the first edition of Win98...it isn't on Millenium, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.

I believe it was available on WindowsUpdate...not sure if it still is or not. Also, you could probably find a download for it at http://microsoft.com . If you can't find anything, give AOL Press a try. It's an old WYSIWYG editor that does an alright job IMO. It isn't available at its old website anymore, but a search in google should bring up a download somewhere.

You might want to try Composer which comes with Mozilla. I just tried the Composer of Mozilla 0.9.1 and it's a pretty good editor (even though I'm used to DW ).

If you have the ability, couldn't you burn the program to a CD and install it on his computer?

Won't FP Express fit on a disk? I can't imagine it's very big. Also you could zip it with WinZIP or WinRAR if it is only slightly too big.

Well, I might as well e-mail it. The person lives in FL, me in MS... so I can't just take it next door. I might try e-mailing it.

You might want to check out Netscape Composer, as well. It came with Netscape Navigator a few versions ago, not sure if it still does. Pretty basic WYSIWYG editor but it is free, so...

    Good luck
