I'm testing out WordPress & also Nucleus.

I like Nucleus because it has a really big Japanese community & extensions not available in English but WordPress is a bit easy to use & will look at it's Japanese version soon.

& for those who use multilingual blogs & software

Just translating the text for double byte based language does not make it fully compatible...
Nucleus is really good with their Japanese version...

I've been using WordPress since it evolved from b2 and have been impressed on how easy it is to use. The new "pages" feature has allowed me to integrate it as a CMS, albeit a simple one on my site.

Word Press is the way to go. Cute News isnt really a blog software, more like news But i'm sure you could use it as a blog script.

What if I wanted to have multiple content boxes. Like, 1 for general news, one for site announcements, etc... ?

Does Word Press let me use use includes?

You could always create different news categories and show those selectively.

Yes you can use PHP includes, but odds are you probably won't need to unless you're integrating some kind of content external to WordPress.

What rss validity issue? I though WordPress was the #1 script with regards to all features?

My favourites would be wordpress or textpattern. I think I would be pulling towards textpattern, even though I use WP.

It is the best script but something is wrong and I haven't pointed it out yet. You can check the blog from my sig. I have placed a 'My Yahoo' button on it that will push the feed to yahoo but yahoo is unable to validate the feed.
