    Problems viewing Rich Text Files...

For the life of me, I cannot view an .rtf file sent to me via email attachment.

When I open it, whether it's in Word Viewer 97, WordPad, Lotus WordPro (don't laugh, please- it's been a long day), or anything else we might try, we get all kinds of formatting characters and other trash within the document.

For further reference, we use Lotus Notes here (once again, keep the laughter to a minimum!). I don't think that would have an effect, but you never know.

Okay- you can laugh if you want

WordPad should read rich text files. If not, then it's been corrupted or you might have a different version of the program than it was originally written in, that could give you weird characters.

You could try viewing it in notepad, dos edit or gvim. I would think this way would give partial gibberish but still readable(?).
