Dunno why Dan Shafer spends so much time trying to justify using CSS. After all, I've bought the book; I'm sold on the idea; I just want to get to grips with it!!

The books name is 'Designing without tables using CSS'. With a name like that, you would be surprised if they didn't try and justify why you would use CSS over tables.

But if you've bought the book the chances are high that you don't need selling to. And certainly not by the time you get to Ch 4...

I can see where you're coming from. Although, the book is targeted more towards beginners at CSS, so they're trying to cover the theory, as well as the practical.
