    Sell Your Site: Suggestion

    Hello,

Just wondering whether there could be something implemented where the 'already sold' sites can be sorted away from the 'still available' sites in the Sell Your Site forum. I'd say add a sub-forum for sold sites but from what I've seen you guys aren't too keen on that.

I don't really know how else it could be done. Just a suggestion?

    Regards,
    Michael

Could be a good idea. Would make it easier to find ones still for sale. The only trouble is you are reliant on people saying it is sold.

    Thanks for the suggestion crabbyx.

A lot of the time, however, a person may sell the site in private and we will never know if the site is sold. Another possibility is that the site won't sell, and the person selling it will decide not to sell it - they may want to do more work on it before selling it, or sell it elsewhere. In these situations we can't rely on people coming back to tell us to remove their listing. So, the listings just go away over time when there is no activity in them. The listings with the most recent activity will always be first.

We welcome your suggestions for how else we might tackle the problems. We do want to continually improve the service.

Not sure if this is possible with permissions, or if it is acceptable for you... but what about allowing thread starters in that forum to lock their threads? Then a person could lock a thread once the site had sold.

Technically it's possible even with vB's stock features Though acceptable or not by SPF, that only Tom can comment on
