Smile Are we ready for Yahoo ads? What are best steps?

I don't know if that's a little early to discuss, but anyway I didn't have a plan yet. What should we do? should I use some ads of yahoo in the same domain (not same page) if I've one domain? or wait for others who used it to review their opinions?
Do you HOPE or EXPECT better revenue?

I just hope Yahoo and Google will go into a war for the most publishers.

if by "the same domain" you mean the same domain you use adsense on, you're not allowed to. the adsense TOS says you can't use any ads that mimic theirs anywhere on your site.

you can see yahoo ads in here, hopefully that won't lower the prices for publishers as tey compete for advertisers !

I think you can use ads that mimic adsense and adsense on the same site, but not on the same page.

I'd like to see a huge competition for publishers, it would hopefully bring in more money for the publishers. You have to remember to throw MSN in there too.

Huh, what did I miss here? Did Yahoo! launch their contextual advertising program?

They have started beta-testing with some websites for some time now. They also launched their Search Ads program, but they expect you to run it for free if I'm not mistaken....

They've only started, but not really done much else. I hope that they don't do it in beta too long, like Google typically does.

Yes, it sure would be nice if they could launch soon. I bet it will be before the Fall when Christmas season starts heating up.

I think people are going to run Google and Yahoo ads and see which pay better, and this may be something that is quite dynamic, so publishers will have to become quicker to notice changes for particular keywords or market sectors. Surely, each network will have certain strong areas that pay better than the other.

I expect the MSN one will be interesting, as Microsoft will look to lead the market in ads too, I expect Google and MSN will be fighting it out.

It would depend on the topic of your page. Currently the other targetted-ad networks do not have the depth of inventory that Google has. You can put Adsense on almost any page and get relevant targetted ads. No so with other networks. It will be an interesting and volatile period (prices & inventory) as advertisers re-allocate ad dollars and experiment with the new networks for effectiveness & price.
I suspect that I will have to replace my skyscraper Adsense banners for smaller sizes as Google inventory diminishes and ad-dollars get spread around to other networks. It could be hard for Google to fill 3 ad-sets per page.

    from the TOS:
This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads

I'm afraid that yahoo ads kill adsense (low impressions , clicks to adsense then for example) speacially my site is small

This is bad! It will make hard to test if yahoo performes better than adsense.

remove the adsense and Test it throughout the entire site.....for a period of time....

Adsense TOS is to prevent any competition.... However if they have competition from yahoo or msn.... It will be harder they might have to increase the amount of revenue the publisher receives...especially if one publishes the rate.

Maybe someone will develop a script that will incorporate ads from both YPN and Adsense but only display one at a time. Perhaps it could run YPN ads for one week, then the next week use AdSense. It's the only way I can see someone testing performance w/o breaking the TOS.
