    from tribal fusion:

We track how many times an ad is served to a particular user and we stop serving the ad after a certain number of views.
We limit the number of times we serve intrusive ads to each user's browser.

    what is that number ?

It is not that these networks (certainly casale and tribal fusion - along with most other as well) stop counting ads served to users really - it is more that they simply will not show ads after a certain number of pageviews, and they will then send those impressions to your default campaign.

The number of impressions before defaults depends on the amount of ads available through that network, and where the user comes from, amongst other things. But I would imagine that it is about 8 - 10 pageviews for UK/US visitors.

    When they say:
We limit the number of times we serve intrusive ads to each user's browser
They mean with pops, layer and interstial ads, where with some networks you can choose how many ads are displayed to each user per session or per 12/24 hours. I would try to keep this number to one intrusive ad per session at the most (I try to use 1 per 24 hours) if you would like to keep repeat traffic.

    Cheers

Every network, the reputable ones at least all go by RAW CPM for counts. Fills and defaults though would vary with each network, but counts are all raw.

Yes, all the major networks (Tribal Fusion, Casale, etc.) go by TOTAL number of impressions.
