Do frames call linked style sheets more than once?

    Hi,

I am designing a web page which contains two major frames. In one of those frames there are 3 inline/internal frames for advertisement usage purposes. All of these 5 frames are using the samle linked style sheet.

My question is: Does the same linked style sheet is requested 5 times from the server by the client browser and the browser loads it 5 times and the limited bandwidths are wasted.

If yes I would like to use embedded styles for the inline frames.

    Thanks for the answers,

    alpyo

The CSS file should be cached after the first request, and subsequent requests should just snag it from the cache.

if you have a frame and it consists of 5 pages, and these 5 pages link to the same style sheet, it'll reload 5 times. or '5 hits' in statistical views.

This is a very interesting question. Would it really reload the stylesheet 5 times? I think this is a lil bug that should be sorted out by Internet Authoroties.

I hope i'm right. i was thinking from the logic whereby how many hits is derived from each accesses of a page.

I would have thought that it will only reload the css if each of the 5 pages access it via a diffrent path.
