Tables - cell borders using Dreamweaver3

Hi, I've having trouble with table cell borders. They don't seem to display unless there is actually a picture or text in the cell. How do I overcome this?

I'm guessing you're using Netscape to view the table? In that case they won't display unless something is present. My solution to this is to put a none-breaking-space in the cell so it has something in, even though that something is invisible.

Within DW, switch the Objects Palette to the characters view (using the tiny black arrow in the top right), select Other Charcter which is the last button and choose none-breaking-space which is the very top left icon in the dialogue box and is represented by a blank square.

Do that in every cell with a border that's not appearing and you should be sorted. HTH

You could also put an invisible one pixel "spacer gif" in their. Would also work I'd think...

And, as usual, someone has been kind enough to make an extension that does this automatically.
    Check out: http://www.e-frontmedia.com/dreamweaver.html
The NetSpace 1.1 extension seems to fix the problem. I haven't tried it out myself yet, though.
