    Linux-Windows HD Question

How do Linux and Windows live together? I'm getting conflicting comments.

Some people say that Linux and Windows can read the files (or at least aknowledge that the files are there) in each other's partitions.

Others say that they cannot. Who is right?

    I am right

I started a thread about this about a month ago. It's at http://www.sitepointforums.com/showt...threadid=24363

FAT 32 partitions can be read in both OSes.

I have Linux and Windows 98 on 2 separate hard drives. I use the Windows loader Loadlin.exe to give me a boot menu but LILO comes with Linux. Umm in order to get Linux to see Win files you have to Mount the Win hard drive in mostr case hdb on Linux. I have not yet found out how to view the Linux file system on Windows. I'm still a Linux newbie.
