    PHP Newbie - PHP installed on IIS?

    Is it easy to install PHP on IIS 5 (win2k)?

    Or can I even do this??

    Yes its quite easy. You simply extarct the php distro to wherever, usualyy c:\php, copy the dlls over to the System32 folder, copy the php.ini file to the winnt folder. Basically copy all the files as per the readme file that comes with the distro. Then go into IIS manager.
    Right-click on Default Web Site and Select Properties. Click on the Home Directory tab > Configuration

    Click Add. Browse for the phpisapi.dll in the php/sapi folder. Then put .php for the extension. Then restart IIS, and presto all .php files will be parsed through the phpisapi.dll

    I downloaded the Installer from www.php.net and it automatically configures IIS for you. COOL!
