    simulate :hover, :focus in IE for form tags

    Hi,
    as in the summary, I would like to simulate in IE, on from tags the :hover, :focus, that is working in FF and Opera well. Till now I could make some steps to reach my goal, but I run into problems simulating the focus.

    I uploaded a teszt version of my solution.

    The problem is when I go over the focused tag than - because of mouseover event - it loose its style. How can I achieve that the mouseover, late also the mouseout, didn't happen when I come over the tag?

    I made a removeEvent method for this, but in my other testcases it won't work with IE, and I could find out why.

    What I could also find out that by focusing on a tag in IE the srcElement is incorrect (in my code this is object 'tg') ,exactly undefined - and googling on the net on Quirksmode.org there is also a hint that IE handle this incorretly.

    Can anybody help me to solve this, or add hints to another solution?
    I run out of time slowly

    bye
    Alex

    Ps: Sorry for my english if anything if I wrote is not to understand that reply please!

    You can study what I've done here:
    http://alliancetec.com/arizonashop/billing.htm
    to detach Internet Explorer from anything else, I've used Vbscript.
    Opera guises itself as Internet Explorer but there are two things it won't run:
    <!--[if IE]>
    <link href="IEstyle.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
    <![endif]-->
    and <script type="text/vbscript" src="vbscript.vbs"></script>

    maybe there are some ideas there for you.
    but please bear in mind its a demo and not perfect.

    Code for Firefox, Chrome, Safari, & Opera, then add fixes for IE, not vice versa.

    IE behaviors are often used for this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/workshop/a...s/overview.asp
