Avg leads you can generate?
I've been approached by a ton of these "enter your email address and recieve a free laptop computer" advertisers, that insist that their campaigns generate thousands of leads from publishers. While I don't disagree with a statement like that, I am kind of curious to know on average, for those of you that do run campaigns like these, how many "leads" do you generate for these campaigns per month? Just ballpark it if you don't know an approximation.

it depends on your site, the free ipods is fully saturated and won't get you anything, but look into free ps3 and free xbox 360 are now hot, especially with 18-24 audience.

I havent really tried any of these "free" offers, however, my highest number of acquisitions was just over 10,000 leads on smileycentral downloads.

If I remember correctly, it was about 22%. I used a variety of text and graphic ads within our email service pages. As soon as I saw the offer, I got busy advertising them. This was before the smiley central ads started popping up everywhere, probably why I was able to get this many leads.

Just thought I'd add that MaxBounty and eMarketMakers have a lot of these "email only required free stuff" campaigns.
