Has anyone heard of this before?

    Hey

I recently installed NS6, so it obviously updated Mozilla. But after that whenever I tried to open a jpeg (default viewer set to IE) the image would load but then get an error message saying couldn't find the image (even though it was displaying).

Weird in itself but it was particularly annoying.

So I editef the file types for the .jpg and .gif extensions by removing the use DDC selection and now whatever page I load on the internet, all the fonts have gone wrong - they are all really really small!

Weird. I'm gonna try re-using DDC but just wondered if anyone had heard of this before!?

The fonts are really really really small in what browser? IE or NS6?

I'm assuming the same is true for NS6 (I never tried it), but in IE you can set the fonts to different sizes. Right-click on the toolbar (the one with the Back, Forward and Stop button) and select customize. Then add the Size button. Quit the customize menu and left-click on the new Size button. 'Medium' should be selected. If it's not then that's your problem.

However if it is then I have no idea!

Hope this might explain the problem!

It shows the same image as captured from Netscape 6 and IE5.5.

I have now tried turning DDE back on but it hasn't changed anything.

    Weird!

It looks like you have your fonts set too small.

View > Text Size > selections

If you are using a scroll wheel mouse you can sometimes invariably change the fonts sizes when you hold down the CTRL button and use the scroll wheel.

So it's not what I thought it was... Bummer. That's weird, I don't know why the DDE would affect the font sizes. Did you try re-installing IE? I can't think of anything else.

P.S. Is your avatar Mr Bump from 'The Mr Men Series' by Roger Hargreaves? I used to love those little booklets when I was a kid! I have Mr Muddle, Mr Snow, Mr Strong and Mr Quiet. My neighbour had almost all of them! Oh that brings back memories...

Thankyou clever people. It's all back to normal. I guess I must have inadvertently changed it in a mad scrolling wheel frenzy panic sort of thing.

And yes - that is Mr Bump. I've got some more too, so he might be changing quite soon!

That's just a simpler way of doing what I said in my first post. It should be set to 'Medium'.
