    iFrames: Is This Backwards?

I have a long navigation menu enclosed in an iframe on each page of my site. When a user clicks on one of the options in the iframe, the *rest* of the page changes to reflect his choice. In other words, the iframe stays the same, but its parent page reloads. Is this backwards?

When the parent pages reloads, will the iframe remain static, or will it get reloaded as well?

Obviously, I don't want the iframe to reload each time a user makes a menu selection from it.

    Thanks!

Sounds like you want a frameset.

    Have a look here, please:

    http://www.happypuppy.com/platform.php?platform_id=ps2

In the upper left part of the page, under Games, you'll see a long menu list of game titles. Clicking on a title changes the content of the page.

I want to accomplish the same thing using an iframe for the menu list.

Is that an ideal way to do it? Is there a better way?

    Thanks!
