$9.95 Listing Fee for "Websites For Sale"

I have a question regarding the $9.95 listing fee now applied to those who wish to sell their website here at SitePoint.

My question is that what if the site doesn't sell. Will you, I, be able to get the $9.95 back from you?

No. As with all other online and offline classified ad services, you will not get your money back if your site does not sell.

If you feel it is unlikely that anyone might purchase your site, I would reccomend you do not list it.

Your site will be more likely to sell if:

- You do some research into pricing and list the site at a realistic price or minimum bid.
- You include full details about the site including proof of revenue, a link and/or screenshot of the front end and back end, etc.
- You allow multiple ways for people to contact you including PM, email, replying in the thread.

The site will also be more likely to sell if it is presented well, is fully functional without errors and is complete (not unfinished).

My advice would be to have a look at the existing listings in the Sell Your Site forum, to get an idea of which sites are being sold.
