Hello everyone,
Last year Cat Connor has been "blogging" for 24 hours straight, gaining nothing but attention. This year she's put up this operation named the Blogathon, for "bloggers" like me to blog for 24 hours, for a good cause: charity donations.
How does it work ? I write an entry at least once every 30 minutes, for 24 hours. Each sponsor then agrees to donate some $ to the charity I chose, on an hourly rate, depending on how I performed.
A better explanation is there.
For this event I have chosen the Salvation Army as my charity. I chose the Salvation Army because it's an international organisation that's present in nearly all countries, so you can donate to their local agency instead of going through the trouble of sending money.
So if you want to sponsor me, click here, fill the form, and in the box named "I want to sponsor", type "dayzero".
Note: I'm not gaining any money from this event, your money goes straight from your wallet to the charity. It all works on the honor system, you've got to contact the Salvation Army and donate to them directly.
2nd Note: The average minimum money to donate is US$1 per hour, but you can give more or less, the important thing is to donate.
I am counting on you, and hope I will help the homeless people thanks to your sponsorship.
Please voice any opinions or encouragements here.
