    People you admire on SP

Well, I've been really wanting to send a shout out to people I've really learned to respect over my 2 (queue ooohs and aaaahs) weeks at sitepoint. People who have helped me, put me in my place or "wowed" me with their knowledge as well as attitude.

Here are my nominations for my personal "Geeze, aren't you great" award

Who would you like to thank for being part of sitepoint and why?

creole: For friendly graphix advice which is not only bang-on opinion-wise but friendly, patient and often filled with great links.

saz249: For supporting me always, as well as putting me in line. Also for letting me call her old, so long as it isn't on sitepoint

nicky: Well, we've just "met" but already I admire your sensibility

booger(sp?): Your asp knowledge wows me, you remind me of a friend of mine. Anyways, it's been an honour to see you answer question after question and not get impatient

swimm5001(sp?): We've rubbed a couple of times and each time you've always had a great attitude as well as the willingness to help, way to go and thanx!

Fluffykins: I've heard great things from some of my other "folk" on sitepoint and every post I've read (recently, since I recognized your name) has left me with information as well as a bigger perspective that I didn't necessarily have before.

lynlimz: You dude, rock! I mean, I don't know what else to say. I have no flowery words, I just plain admire you

wayne: I told you to bite me and ban me and you didn't... That takes guts Thanx, and happy wedding!

sparkie: Wow, I totally value and admire your creativity and graphix knowledge, keep it up You inspire me

the whole sp community: Even if I haven't mentioned you (gasp, sorry!) or if we've never even really "met" I value the place you made sitepoint before I got here. It is a rare gem indeed to find a truly healthy community on the net and I believe that out of the 20 or so that I've been privileged enough to become a leader in this is the best (though I'm no leader here, I just piss people off ) one I've ever seen! So, thanx!

If we're going to do the 'thank you' thing, then I'd like to publicly thank the Advisors and Mentors who thought me worthy enough to join them - with a special thanks to mmj as he was the one who made my day by PM'ing me with the invite and to Nicky for telling him to do it!!!

Oh, and Jeremy - thanks. If you ever need somebody to put you back in line, just give me a shout

I can't thank anyone, for fear of leaving people out. Those of you whom I respect probably know who you are.

Yup, there are too many smart, helpful people here to name names. There's always someone with an answer to your question, or even someone who's willing to redo your code.

When it comes to debating in more philosophical areas, I usually admire Freaky Sid a lot, and not just because I tend to agree with him. He knows his stuff and says it well.

I will mention names, because any logical person knows that I can't remember everyone. Everyone else, you know who you are..

Wayne -- Of course, thanks are in order. Wayne, you continually amaze me with your skillset, knowledge, and ability to work under pressure. Without you, these forums would just be another ordinary forum. You've brought the forums to life and have continually inspired us to reach the successful design that you have incorporated here.

Nicky -- I believe I've known you the longest out of most of the SitePoint members. Always inspirational, always fun, and knowledgeable all at once. You're another one that I owe thanks to, as you constantly got me interested in the community.

Saz -- You're another one who always brightens my day. Although a newer member, you never cease to amaze me with your talents, down-to-earth opinions, and constant smile, word of widsom, or humor.

Big_al -- Where would I be without you? Nowhere, that's right. You've been my mentor as far as the ASP language goes, and I know that whatever questions I have, I can always get some sort of helpful information from you.

TWTCommish -- You've always been around the forums. I've annoyed you constantly and have grown to admire your skills and friendly attitude throughout the community.

mmj -- I don't think I've ever met a nicer person on the forums. I envy your way with words. You could tell someone to go to hell so that they would look forward to the trip. You always answer my pesky, detailed questions with ease. I'm glad we have you here at the forums, and hope things stay the way they are for a long time.

Creole -- You rock. What else can I say?

The rest of the Community -- What would a community be without it's members? We all make the SitePoint community a diverse and vast base of knowledge. I don't know what I'd do without each and every one of you. There is a certain joy in helping someone and then watching them progress to the point where they help others with the same thing. I can explain it. You all are important. Don't any of you ever change, or you'll have me to answer to.

    P.S -- I understand if I wasn't nominated. *sniffle*
