The usual....alignment of DIVS and stuff

    Hi my very knowledgeable friends

    I have a site at http://www.eye-floaters.com.

    Basically I have two questions

    1. I've wrapped the entire page in one div tag to set it to a set size (for the 800*600 resolution), how can I center it? align: center doesn't work This is my first site with CSS you see.

    2. Note on the preview site (ignore the right hand crap), that the left hand DIV tags are aligned fine, but the site does not expand vertically so now the actual content finishes but the left hand nav bar keeps going on!

    Help!

ok...centering should be simple. apply margin: auto; to your main div

for the height issue, set overflow: auto on the main div.

That's a quick and dirty answer, as i am at work and did not look at your code. Let us know what those two changes get you.

Thank you codescribbler, I appreciate your help.

    I centred it fine, cheers.

But the left hand div tag remains in place on the left, how do I get it to appear within the main div tag (resolution_top)? I've set the left div tags to position: absolute because anything else and the content moves all over the place!
