can't get the footer to stay below columns

I am working on a Mambo integration. I have the HTML Utopia CSS without tables book from sitepoint and I am trying to follow it so that the footer stays underneath any of the 3 columns but is it not working out. Would anyone mind taking a look? uniquelayouts.com

I used:

#clear {
clear:both;
}
#wrapper {
  margin: 0;
  padding: 0;
 }

But it doesn't work... Please help.

I would say that your major problem is over-use of absolute positioning. Absolute positioning takes elements out of the natural flow of the document. You'd be better off with relative positioning and floats.
