    Yahoo hates me

    Hi

I have a site with around 1000 pages on various sports topics, these rank well across the whole site in both Google and MSN for the keywords associated with each page , but in yahoo I have only a few pages listed, less than 100, the site has a very good link structure and has been going for about 2 years.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks John

Try getting more inbound links including deep links, slurpy spidering has gotta be a function of link popularity, don't you think?

The SECRET (Hush....don't tell anyone ) to getting good results with google is to get plenty of in coming links pointing at your web site. The more related the site is that is linking to you the better.

Make sure the link (the clickable part) has your key words in. The keywords that you are targetting.

Check to see what your competetitors have with regards to in coming links and anchor text and this will give you a good idea of what you need to do to rank well.

Funny... usually you only see posts talking about how google hates me, google this, google that. I think this is the first time I've seen someone who had a problem with the Y!

No kidding. I was number twenty on yahoo! (charlotte realty services), made some changes to my site, jumped to number 2 but was nowhere to be seen on google. Now I'm number two on google and back to the 20's on yahoo! all in under one week....

BTW - do NOT use SEO software if you use google adSense. I ran one for the first time this weekend and lost my adSense account
