    Yeah I've seen the icons on my sites with Adsense but haven't seen an option to do the same when I'm in Adwords.

    Yeah, the autoweb.com one for sure. I haven't seen any others.

    They just can't leave well enough alone! Those icons are really lame, and will only cause people to ignore the text after awhile.

    Hopefully this isn't a long-term trend, and is just some quick thing. I can't imagine it lasting since it's so cheesy.

    To me it seems exactly on par with those stupid characters site owners add for their search engine results, they stick them in the title tag, you know, to create an arrow, or star. I don't really want to fuel that trend by even discussing 'that' novetly fad, so to those of you that know what I'm talking about... it's similar isn't it? They're both really tacky and useless.

    I finally saw one on one of my sites. It was for Amazon. Like Dan said, I don't like how it pushes the link text down to the next line. Other than that I have no problem with it.
