    replacement for Access

Could somebody explain what mySQL is? I have been using Access for my sites, and somebody told me that my SQL is the solution for my problems that I have been having with Access...how do I get this on my site?

Is there an actual database program that I should use? My server has the SQL Server installed, and it is ready to be used, but how do I get it to work for me?

Well www.mysql.com would be a good starting point. You can also download it from the site. Check out the link in my signature for loads of online resources to get you going.

Sounds like your host is a Windows server.... I am not sure that they would have MySQL installed.

I do php4 / mySQL and ColdFusion / Access. It would be nice to have both platforms on the same server - know of any?
