    Whatdotheydo? SSL, https, shtml?

    Please help...
My site architecture has subdomain, domain, and directory heirarchy. I'd like people to be able to view my pages without being tracked, aka: anonymous browsers, and to be sure that my content is 'genuine'. For SSL, can I use Thawte certificates as well? How and why would I make pages SSL'd, https'd, or shtml'd?
    Thank-you, in advance...

don't know much about the first two, but shtml has nothing to do with secure servers.

    SSL: http://webopedia.internet.com/TERM/S/SSL.html

    S-HTTP: http://webopedia.internet.com/TERM/S/S_HTTP.html

SHTML pages are created using Server Side Includes, or SSI. Like the previous post said, they don't have much bearing on your current question. For more info go here:

    Enjoy.
