I read somewhere that they could not make such a big deal about it as they wanted because GMAIL jumped to 2GB+

Well, too bad for them that Gmail is offering 2.2 GB, and increasing constantly.

Considering I've only used 7mb out of my potential 2201mb with Gmail, I doubt I'll need to sign up for a Yahoo account.

Wasn't much of a shock though, It was obvious that the other email providers will be trying to catch up sooner or later.

Gmail is also still in beta at the time, and tons of people use Yahoo! for their email now and have the potential to while Google plays around in beta. I've never used over 7 MB of email with any service, but I don't send pictures and what not.

The DomainKeys Indicator seems like a nifty tool too. I don't see that feature on Gmail

For some reason, my emails keep piling up. I've used about 200 MBs with Gmail, and I don't share any files or such. It's just general use. Normally, I've been using my domain accounts...but not anymore. I get most of my mail directed to gmail :P

What I really like about Gmail is the text link advertisements -- rather than Yahoo's distracting and somewhat annoying graphic advertisements.

To me, that's a bigger issue than who has more storage space....

I'm using my gmail account for everything. I even send my chatlogs to my gmail account (trillian to gmail plugin) and everything else...

    By the way, I'm at 21 / 2201.

I use both and enjoy them for what they offer. Gmail is my favorite of the two, but it doesn't hurt to have both.

That's an awfully bold statement. Considering Google is beating them to virtually every punch right now and it is their lead to lose in search I can't imagine Yahoo overtaking Google without coming up with a "must have" service first.

I agree with that 100%, I really cant see Yahoo being the best SE.
