The Animal - huge disappointment
I wasn't going to watch this movie, but thru a little serendipity I did today.
What a waste of time.
The production of this movie was so sloppy that you could see the boom mike in at least 20% of all scenes, and the support rigs (cranes, camera blinds, etc) at least 4 times that I counted. The entire boom for about 4 feet intruded into one scene - it looked like a documentary on how to make a movie (albeit a poor one).
The acting was poor all around, and the storyline droll at best. Too bad, because there was some opportunity for some really clever stuff here.
I give it one half of one star.

Well, what did you expect? No one expected it to be anything but a cheesy comedy - even the makers didn't expect it to dominate the box office - and they were right.
I'd rather save my money.

I would not have minded the cheesy comedy if it has at least been done with reasonably post production care. 20% of the movie looked like it was filmed by my son with a video camera and his friend holding a boom mike in the face of the person being filmed.
Very poor technically.
I like cheesy comedy .
