    Google ads in public sites

When i say public sites those site that allow you to comment or post (forums , blogs , guestbooks ...etc). Is it risky to place google ads in that kind of sites?

I noticed some webmasters do so , but they put very strict rules , anything that could violate adsense TOS like no excessive swearing or adult contents , to make sure that his site visitors won't cause him troubles with google.

Have anyone tried this before? I want to do it , but checking every comment in the site would be tiresome.

Any idea what words, specifically, are considered "illegal" by Google? Is there a list anywhere? I may be adding Adsense to a few forums soon... maybe I'll just go and add all the "illegal" words to the censor/word filter in the forum settings...

I don't think there are "illegal words", but at https://www.google.com/adsense/policies it says about the site's content:
    Site may not include:

    • Excessive profanity
    • Violence, racial intolerance, or advocate against any individual, group, or organization
    • Hacking/cracking content
    • Illicit drugs and drug paraphernalia
    • Pornography, adult, or mature content
    • Gambling or casino-related content
    • Any other content that promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others
    • Excessive advertising
    • Pop-ups, pop-unders or exit windows that interfere with site navigation, obscure Google ads, change user preferences, or are for downloads. Other types of pop-ups, pop-unders, or exit windows may be allowed, provided that they do not exceed a combined total of 5 per user session
    • Excessive, repetitive, or irrelevant keywords in the content or code of web pages
    • Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site's search engine ranking, e.g., your site's PageRank
    • Incentives (monetary or point-based) to users to click on links or ads while visiting a site containing Ads
    • Sales or promotion of certain weapons, such as firearms, ammunition, balisongs, butterfly knives, and brass knuckles
    • Sales or promotion of beer or hard alcohol
    • Sales or promotion of tobacco or tobacco-related products
    • Sales or promotion of prescription drugs

It's just like putting ads in a forum. You should only do it if you can carefully moderate the content, and delete anything which may be considered offensive.

If your visitors frequently post profanities, racist material (even jokes), drug references, sexual content, or anything else that may be seen as questionable, it's probably not worth the risk.

You can get the "official profanity list" (I got mine from wikipedia) then filter out these words, if you want to feel safe.
