    Anyone worked with X Cart?

A client is using X Cart on their website and requires me to make a number of changes around the site such as changing text, changing some of the scripts, etc. Although its written in PHP, all of the script files, the .tpl files in particular,
seem to be using some weird sort of language. I keep making errors in them all the time and can't figure out how to get it to work.

Does anybody have any resources on how to learn that stuff etc?

Yes, I've used X-Cart several times. It uses a templating engine called SMARTY - visit http://smarty.php.net for details.

If you are changing text on the site it is all held in a table in the database - i think the table is called something like xcart_languages.

X-Cart is a big system but once you get your head around SMARTY then it should be straight forward - good luck!

thanks for telling me that the info is stored in a table. I was probably going to go nuts searching all the scripts today
