friendster and myspace ? how much they make?

what do u guys think, I know myspace sells its own adds, but if you look closer they use several publishers too. I think they are like # 7 on the alexa. Do u think they pass the 500,000 a month ?

Easily. They have tons of members, including me.
Tom has over 1,000,000 Friends, and many, such as myself, have deleted him. They easily get 500,000 unique views a DAY. Friendster is probably more.

I doubt that. Myspace is always down. Theres always coding errors on it. If they spend that much on servers, they are wasting their money because they are horrible and unreliable.

Besides, where would they come up with that kind of money from just ADVERTISING? Both services are free.

Well, 400k a month is a bit "unrealistic". Even if that site is that big, its supprising that they would spend that much money. I would say 4-10k a month max on servers...
How does that make your feel?

$400,000 a month on servers, is more than $13,300 a day. Those had better be some BIG reliable servers for that price.

Well, wait a second. Someone said they SPEND over $400,000 a month on servers. That's different than how much money they MAKE each month. I was talking about spending that much on servers.
I don't think he makes $250,000 a month. If he was, he was have $4 million a year and I HIGHLY doubt he's making that from a FREE service website.

i downloaded a excel file about their advertisement rates and all from friendster site, just for curiosity.

    from off the web:

mySpace could be worth about $50 million. That's assuming the 3 million unique visitors go to the site 100 times, on average. That would be 300 million page views. If an advertiser pays $2 per CPM (cost per thousand), MySpace would get $600,000 per month or $7 million a year. Maybe that's worth $50 million. Or the cost to someone else to get that audience at $20 per user might get $60 million

big-boys.com gets 600k uniques a day and all videos, videos consume bandwidth.

With 600k a day traffic , you can easy make between 100K to 120K a month or so.
