    Broken Links ? updated site

    I updated my site recently... and i believe my old links are still in google . Whats the correct procedure to redirect without hurting rankings.

    You'll want to use a 301 redirect to point the old pages to the new ones.

    some of my old pages dont exist on the new site ? how should i go about that ?

    Just redirect them to your homepage.

    It might actually be better to redirect them to whatever existing page within your site is most relevant to the content of the old page. Only if there is no similar page on the new site should you redirect them to your homepage or sitemap.
