Automated Links Exchange Programs: to use or not to use...

Recently I've stumbled over some, well, unusual, web-projects which offer hunderds, even thousands of backlinks if you 1) exchange links or 2) pay for it once in a month.

    F.e., www.powerlinks.com, http://www.thetrainingstationinc.com...-exchange.html (warning: pop-ups!), http://www.linkautomate.com, http://www.weblinkalliance.com/link_exchange.html etc...

Maybe someone has already had some kind of experience with such programs? Are they actually working? Any examples? Any recommendations?

    Thanks!

To be honest I used a lot of them and I am not suttisfied because those back links are not reciprocal, and in the most of those sites you are exchanging traffic with low quality (mlm, casino, autosurf, etc) sites.
On the other hand sites with reciprocal link trade usually want a subscription fee, which personally I am afraid to pay, because I don't know them.

Hm... I've been "analyzing" your site:

    Current Rankings:
    PageRank: 2/10
    Alexa Rank: 351,574

    Incoming Google Links: 3
    Incoming Yahoo Links: 515
    Incoming MSN Links: 368
    Incoming Alexa Links: 0
    Overall Incoming Links: 886
Outgoing Links: 35 (Ratio: 0.086% - Each Link Receives Approx. 0.049 PR)

0.049 PR isn't that much really... I am not sure it is the best service for getting backlinks... am I wrong?

What can I use to do analysis such as the one vitf did?
Is it from Google bar or any other software?
