How much will SEO increase my Traffic? any guesses?

I know it's a hard question and why my site wasn't SEO in the first place is another story. Right now I have to decide if I want to pay my web developer to optimize the site so I want to know how much more traffic this may result in. Does anyone have any ideas of what I could expect.

Depends on how successful the SEO work is and how popular the phrases are that you optimize for. If you're nowhere near the top 20 in your current rankings you will see a significant boost in traffic just by getting into the top 20. But if you're looking for someone to give you a hard number as to how much traffic will increase it's just not possible.

Well after i completed a basic SEO of my site just a few months after i was getting thousands more vistors...

So if your doing pretty bad it's worth it, if on the other hand you are already doing quite well don't expect too much & as stymiee said it all depends on your site & your SEO expert...

Here one tip for you that you could probably do yourself. Change your title to something other than your url. Or at least put spaces between the words and take out the .ca
