ASP pages on offline CD-ROM catalogue

Can anyone recommend software that works for ASP pages ?

Anyone in here ever made a CD-ROM catalogue? One of my client wanting to distribute CD-ROM catalogue. I don't think creating an offline version of the (shopping-cart) website will be suitable. I am thinking of creating it in excel. Any excel expert in here? How can you pull images to be displayed (say I have all images in a folder and if i type in imagename.jpg it can retrieve images mentioned). I don't even know if this can be done in excel. Otherwise, any other suggestion?

    Cheers

visual basic/insert your fave programming language here
    or
    html and javascript?

    either would work.

Don't count on people having excel installed.

I had a program that created a cd with a autorun asp server. It ran the asp files, allowed you to view the records but obviously not update or add.

Whilst I was trying to find it again ( as the one I had was free ). I have found these two:

    http://www.nopcode.com/nopasp/
    http://www.phdcc.com/dynamic-cd/

I will keep on looking tho.

P.S There are scripts out there that allow you to create your own. Using VB.

Thanks for the link. I'm not sure if
http://www.nopcode.com/nopasp/ will work. Looks like customer will need to install the software prior to viewing pages.

I am thinking of probably static page generator ie html pages. I think most computer would have internet browser.

    Thanks for your input though

    create full site with ASP/DB
grab all HTML site with webCopier from Local host
    put it into CD.

This is what I accomplished this job . My scenario was that I already had website developed and uploaded... suddenly my customer asked me provide him the whole site in CD. So I made the job simple (it was my situation, i dont know about your).

its easy, fast, compatible.... at last its simple HTML format.

Yea my situation too but mine has shopping cart facilities. The cart features won't work properly (its not based on javascript). So, I need to remove/replace the cart facilities.

the dynamic cd, actually runs a server as a autorun ( no installation needed ) then calls your default.asp or first page.
