    anthology session class

I am using the session class from PHP Anthology volume 2:
    http://www.sitepoint.com/article/ant...cess-control/3
On the site it says "When the browser makes a request for another page, it tells PHP which session it was assigned via the URL query string, or by returning the cookie. "
If I understand it correctly this class is not setting a cookie, but I don't see any query string in the URL.. So, how does this class work if there's no session iD in the query string and no cookie set?

If I'm not mistaken, PHP sets a cookie automatically on the client side when session_start is called. The URL parameter method is an alternative to the cookie method in case the client has cookies disabled.
