    asp book

Hi, so I did a quick search for a good asp book and most responses involved 'bookmarks' which didn't help. So essentially what that sentence means is, forgive is this is a duplicate post, but I'm looking for a good OFFLINE resource for ASP. I checked some of the links but what I'm looking for is something that explicitly states 'start here'....granted that may not be the most helpful, but the sites I checked out seem to have so much infomation that I'm overwhelmed. If anyone has a good book on ASP that they could recommend I'd be most appreciative. thanks.

It's been awhile but what I did when I was looking for some books years ago was to walk into a large book store and literally browse through each ASP book looking for the one I felt most comfortable with and that seemed to have useful information. What I ended up with were Visual InterDev 6 Unleashed (even though I never used Visual InterDev it had good ASP stuff too) and Active Server Pages 2.0 Unleashed.

And this is something I put together about ASP that hopefully might help somehow:

It's a reference manual, but once you get going on ASP this book is a life saver!
