Add round corner to graphic

How can I add a small round corner to a graphic? I'm not talking about rounded edges for a table.. I just want to be able to take a rectangular image and make it like this one:

Make a square selection (the size you want the corner radius to be), then minus from it using the circular selection tool and press delete.

I'm sorry, I'm a complete idiot when it comes to photoshop... what do you mean by "minus from it using the circular selection tool"?

Basically Without deselecting the rectangular marque, go and pick the circular one. Now, holding ALT or CTRL (Sorry I'm on a mac and forgot the Windows shortcut, however you should see a little plus or minus next to the cursor). Minus is the one you want.
