Right click on the layer and select "clear/copy/paste layer style"?

NO there was some command or something hidden in one of the menus I learned at one of the p'shop seminars where you can send the layer styles to their own layer so you can play with them "unlinked" from the original one..

EHH, I found it! YEAH! I knew you could do it ... just had been so long since I had done it I couldnt remember...
For those of you that want to know heres how:
select the layer with the layer style you want "seperated" from its parent layer... then click layer > layer style > create layer ..... boom, moves your style to its own layer!
Oh, this one! But still there are some layer styles that cannot be reproduced in this way
When "exploded" to layers, they will give slightly different result, as far as I remember.
