    Help with new forum

I just started www.sportsinfozone.com in December of last year. I need some help on ways to promote. Any ideas ? What content should I add ? I also thought about starting my own affiliate program.

As far as promotion, you may want to consider offline promotions as well as online. Think about your target market (sports fans), you can reach them at local sports bars. See if the place would allow you to put up a sign (perhaps they have a community bulletin board), or pass out cards. It's always best to run it by an owner first, rather than risk being cited for solicitation.

Another idea may be local gyms or fitness centers. Many people who enjoy watching athletics also participate, and many gyms have public bulletin boards for their members. See if you can attract some visitors that way.

If there is much in your area for sports events (games, etc.), see if there's any way you can sponsor that. Getting listed as a sponsor in newspapers, programs, or in flyers is a great way to get your name out there.

Best of luck with your site!

I think you should do something with the layout of your site. I don;t like the colors.
About the promotion, I agree with what HeatherID said, but you should also do some extra things. First you must post as meny posts you can in your forums, because people don't like 'empty' forums at all. Also you may submit your site to as many directories as you can, because except for traffic you'll also raise your link popularity

    hi
i think there is alot of things to consider in promoting a site.
For me, the presentation of your site, the way you present your site is the reflection of how your company give absolutely great services to your potential clients. The designs and content of the web site. It shouls have unique and catchy designs that will attract the searchers to visit the site until buy or render your services.
I think it is great to have online and offline promotions just like what HeatherId said to meet the targeted customers in the market place.
    I hope i made contributions.

    1) For one place a link in your sig here to help it in the search engines.

    2) Join other sport related forums and post good relevant posts. When you do that and have a link in your sig to your own forums people will come check out your site and join if interested.

    3) If the forum owner allows it and people ask a question about information that you happen to know you have on your own site then link them directly to the info on your site.

    4) Join Forum Directories for free links to your site.:
