Arrow Crimson Editor users : HELP

Whenever i try to connect to my FTP server i using the "Open Remote" button i get the following :
Failed to logon to remote server.
220-You are user numer 4 of 50 allowed
Does this make sense to you? And no , my firewall isn't blocking it.

I connect through a proxy server (my ISP requires it) , does that matter or not? i couldn't find anything related to proxy server in the editor.

    Thanks for your time,

might be the case that your ISP doesn't allow proxy servers.
because as per my knowledge (which is very limited in this area), sometimes proxy servers do use some specific ports or some random ports and ftp servers do not allow that.

i might be wrong. and i am interested to see the outcome of this post

no my ISP DOES allow a proxy server. I used to use HTML-Kit's FTP feature (just like Crimson's) and it worked fine. The problem is only with Crimson Editor. I've searched their forum and searched google , but nothing.

I really need to solve this problem. Any help is much appreciated.

Are you sure it is from the Crimson Editor?

Have you tried another FTP client?

There are some good free FTP clients, try if they'll succeed in connecting your server.

Hope it's not from the editor...

Yea it is from the editor. And as i said , modifying files remotley with FTP works fine in HTML-Kit (which is an editor).

What's the point in using another FTP client? i want to edit files remotley and quickly with Crimson editor.

    OK.
    It's up to you.
BTW, why don't you send an e-mail to the author?

If you find out a solution post it here!

Nah ! i won't bother. I downloaded Crimson Editor 3.6 and the FTP works just fine. It must be a bug in the newer version. Unfortunately , version 3.6 is so ugly compared to 3.7 , so i won't use it.

I think i'll just stick to HTML-Kit . It has all what i want except for auto indenting. I can live with that

I too am doing a side-by-side comparisoon of them both and I think I'll stick to what I've been using for years - HTML-Kit.
