    Sessions that last

    I've got some sessions working but invariably they don't last more than 30 minutes if the user is inactive
    Does it have to do with the fact that I specified session_save_path("/temp") ?

    Hi,

    session.save_path is the name of the folder where php stores session variable values. You can name that folder d:\I_want_you_to_last_forever and it will have no bearing on the length of a session. Sessions are only supposed to be a short term way to make variables persist, and you probably want the session to expire after 30 minutes, but if you don't, I think you can change that with this session variable:

    session.gc_maxlifetime = 1440

    which is in seconds.
