Netscape + Tables = Bad (HELP!)

I'm trying to make a table 100% wide and 100% in Height. There are more tables 100% wide within the table. Internet Explorer is showing the tables no problem but good old Netscape has decided to put a margin on the right and the bottom of the page. For some bizarre reason the margins dissapear when I do a <br> just before the table but then of course there's a margin at the top which I don't want.

Does anyone know a way round this problem?

Well, apparently the only way round this problem is to make every page on my site long enough to get a vertical scrollbar.

"Also note that Navigator always leaves room for a scrollbar on the right, but draws the scrollbar only when the document is long enough to require scrolling. If the document does not require scrolling, then this leaves a right "margin" that cannot be removed. "

    Netscape SUCKS bigtime.

Sorry, I don't have it uploaded but apparently the problem isn't fixable anyway so I wouldn't waste your time

hi richiec...welcome to the NN-screwed club. The only way out I found was to use CSS2...margin:0px and the likes. Try it out.

Great, thanks dude. I'm already using CSS on the site so that'll be fine if it works.

Oh well, Netscape users can just go F*** themselves.

    Heya,

Now I know this doesn't solve your problem..
    but my advice: LEAVE IT

I think only 8% of the surfers are using Netscape...

I don't even bother checking my page in Netscape anymore.

    Please don't hate me...
    That's all folks...

Yeah I was looking at TheCounter's global stats and it's at around 8% of users and it seems to be going down VERY quickly. Only a couple of months ago it was 30% or something. It'll probably be extinct within 2 months (thank god).

Not gonna happen but you can dream.

I've been hearing for the better part of a year-and-a-half that Netscape use was down to about 10%, so I don't know where you got 30% 2 months ago.

You're probably right but still I'm not prepared to sacrifice my design for 8% of people who are stuck in their ways.

Why don't you just design around the problem. I mean, maybe design your page the way you want it to look in IE, then get it to look reasonable in Netscape.
