Let me see if I get this...
Dalton is a web worker who wants to understand php... and use it...
But if someone like me just wants a forum on my site (which site when it was reviewed was declared major amateur), then I could just get the phpBB free program, install it, and have it working in say.... a day? an hour? a couple weeks?
I'm figuring I'd better get it working rather well before I say people can use it, because if it didn't work right, the people might (most likely would) get irritated...
How long do you think it takes??? to get it up and running after the free download?

With a well written forum script, it will probably take you more time to upload the files than to set it up once they are on the server.

Speaking of the edge, I'm hanging on to the grape vine, ala the old Zen kohn... how is that properly spelled? I know it's not cone.
It's a little while till the grapes will be up and ripe, but I can taste them already. mmmm
