Pretty much the same way you search for any text. The image name, code and comment tags are usually processed by most search engines just like the body text.

I just viewed his source, picked a few images with unusual names ('h_home.gif' for example) and that were unlikely to need to be remade ( like borders, box corners, 'Home' graphics etc). Popped it in Google, and then tried AltaVista. Didn't even have to do that for http://www.oldtowntravel.net/

He left this in his code:
    Code:
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <!-- saved from url=(0029)http://www.lakotaherbals.com/ -->

Yes, I think he made it himself. The style of tables used is similar to those that he put within the sitepoint design...! I think he may charge money for it too, which makes me angry. It appears that this is the only one he has created for an actual client.

PS. He seems to have missed out on grammar and spelling at elementary school...

Maybe I'm being sadistic, but this is the best thread (topic) I've read for ages in General Chat.

lol.. it does seem like a huge lack of judgement.

I mean, if you're going to rip-off a site, surely you'd pick something 'way out of left-field' that isn't as likely to come back to haunt you. Maybe a small whale-watchers website in Norway.... or a recruitment hub in Argentina.... that sort of thing.

But a web developers hub with 6000ish generally web-savvy forum members?!? That's a lot of eyeballs. You will be found out, and quickly.

Yea it would seem this fellow not only lacks creativity and talent...but brains as well. What a tragic list of weaknesses. Cant get very far in life with that combo.

    I just checked www.day-spring.net again - that's gone too!!!

There's just a little text message there now saying 'coming soon'.

Justice has been served I think

Hmm, copyright law worries me sometimes. I'm afraid that it is so expensive to take legal action that usually the only option is to request the offender to remove offending content.

Unfortunately, because the offender suffers no legal penalty (or whatever), there is no incentive not to re-offend.

    That's just a worry I have.

One guy *cough*robbieb*cough* (the one from liquidmonkeys) once took the design right from my site too. But, I let it slide since it was just a temporary layout tell he finished his site (plus it was a 'test' layout I made when I was bored that I'll prolly never use anyway)
    Me?!?!?

I once found this front for a spam operation website. He had copied the design from 50megs.com but on some of the pages he left 50megs.com as the title.

Perhaps you could tell him which sites you are talking about.

    Goprestonburg,
    day-spring and
    Old Town Travel

I just found another of his sites:

    http://www.digiteknowlogy.com/

It looks like he has removed the images from this site.
