Though it is a good point, in Toronto anyways (one of the largest such parades in the world), it is viewed as an "exception".
Saying "God bless" from a chrisitan perspective is much like "good luck" or "break a leg". Essnetially it is wishing someone well. What's the problem with that? I understand if it offends you, but just take it in the spirit it was meant

Common sense says that there are some things that are beyond us, and that there are some things which are readily event. It is readily event that ONE parent raising a child is not optimal. Perhaps your common sense differs from mine. Oh well.
God Bless? Well, I don't know if I would consider that forcing your religion on someone. It's a way to wish someone well. If someone said to me "May Rah be with you always", I wouldn't say "stop forcing your religion on me!" -- I would either mention that I don't believe in Rah, or just ignore it.
The fact of the matter is that people just need to start dealing with this stuff. At some point, some nut is going to threaten you with hell, even if they shouldn't. You can either ignore them and realize they're not the majority, or you can get all upset over it, let it get to you, and accuse them of forcing their beliefs on you. It's a simple choice.

I ask because I sometimes get the impression that people's opinions are based on: "just because the Bible (or the law, or the communist party...) says so". I think that it is VERY dangerous to turn your brain off and just accept everything that is considered "right". Every book (no matter how "holy" it is considered to be) is written just to inspire people to use their brains and think about things that they otherwise wouldn't have thought about. I have to agree that anal sex probably is more common in homosexual relationships, but there are condoms they can use, and staying in a stable relationship is also a way of not spreading any deseases.

On the topic of promiscuity, as we know people of all sexual orientations are capable of it. I think that people "sleep around" mostly because it's interesting to experimentate. I think that it even can be a good thing. Example: both myself and the man I'm going to marry have had a what you could call "a wild puberty". But now, at least we know what's out there, what kind of people we like best and that there is no one better suited for each other than we are. I know that my marriage will be stable and that I don't want to be with anyone else than my husband.

Marina, that was brilliant, and in fact you are not uncommon. I myself, did plenty of experimenting before I married, and I am glad I did. I have had lots of girlfriends before. I think this is definitely a good thing, because out of all those girlfriends there is only one I would ever want to be with, and that is my wife. But I also learned who I didn't want to be with. Not eveyone is gonna get it right the first time with regards to marriage, but it helps to know what is out there. It makes you realize how good you got it. As long as one is careful, I see nothing wrong with one exploring their sexuality.

Its a fact now that AIDS/HIV *is* spread, and more likely to be caught by Hetro's than Homo's - It used to be the other way round, but no since the homo's have learnt the lesson to use protection - it is now more hetros that spread more disease.
Specifically to HIV, more hetro's are gettin it simply because they are arrogant and have the thought "oh, I cant catch that, its a gay disease.
